Tim and Trish's Wedding, Negril, Jamaica

Tim & Trish saw my website through my close friend's recommendation (thanks Miranda) who thought that I would be suitable for their Destination Wedding in Negril, Jamaica. After conversing on the phone, they decided to bring me along to Jamaica (yay). There were 22 people in the Wedding party, and I have never met anyone of them. On the way to the hotel, at the Montego Bay airport; I happened to share a taxi with another couple who happened to be going to the same resort. Little that we know, we were going to the same Wedding. What a way to break the ice.
The minute I met Tim and Trish, we know that we are going to get along well and have a blast. I spent 5 days with their wonderful families and they all welcomed me as if they have known me for years. What a wonderful and friendly crowd.
The daily rain didn't deter them from having a great time, from sunbathing in the rain to hot tubing, swimming around the bar til the early morning. The nasty rain forecast signaled us to move the Wedding indoors, and it was an unforgetable Ceremony and indeed was a emotional day for everyone. One of my favorite moments was when Zack, their 8 year old son, did a welcome speech to welcome his dad to the family.

These cute custom cards can be printed on a standard press paper, gorgeous watercolor paper or wonderful pearl paper, and you can write your own holiday greetings on the back of the cards. I will offer more templates for you to choose from in the very near future.

Brett and Michelle

The big day finally arrived, the wonderful couple were married at the beautiful Villagio in Napa Valley. What a beautiful wedding, arranged to the tee for perfection.

Qigong and Tree Spirit

Last week I attended a workshop at the Five Branches Acupuncture school in Santa Cruz to learn the Qigong form of Buddha Palm taught by Lee Holden. Lee is the Qigong Instructor/Acupuncturist that some of you may have seen through the PBS Pledge programs that runs nationwide. He has a series of Qigong DVDs available for anyone who are interested in Qigong. I also teach Qigong and I encourage anyone who wishes to learn this wonderful and powerful healing art, but does not have an access to a local class or teacher, to consider purchasing one of his DVDs. Give it a chance and it will change your life as it did mine.

As a member of PPGBA (Professional Photographer of Greater Bay Area) I went to another workshop in SF where Jack Gescheidt presented his wonderful work. Jack dedicated his life and photography skill to safe the trees and he does this nationally. I was impressed with his work, and I am recommending his posters/calendar for a nice XMAS or Birthday presents idea. Plus you are doing something good.... saving the trees. Food Food Food

I went to a workshop in SF, where an excellent food photographer named Sarah Remington presented her work. I love her work and inspired me to take more pictures of Food. It just happened that I just bought a new macro lens. Purposedly I bought this lens to snap pictures of wedding rings, but it is also perfect for taking pictures of food as well.

Air Che

I shot Daniel and Che's Engagement pictures before their wedding in Hawaii a year ago. Now that she is in the 23rd week of her pregnancy, it is picture time again. I want to create something different for these guys so I asked them to skip on the grass, to create a long shadow on the grass. Knowing Daniel as an avid skateboarder; I asked him to jump high over Che's head. Che was a bit worried about having Daniel missed the jump but she was easily assured.
We had such great laughs during this photoshoot. After the shoot we headed out to Krung Thai, one of my favorite eating place, for some delish Thai food. Everyone who know me know that I am big into food and cant' stop talking about them :) So it is only fair that I should come up with my list of favorite restaurants in San Jose/Bay Area and post it here.

Finally at the final moments of Sunset, I found my favorite location. Sometimes this kind of moments feel like the moment of enlightment as I pressed the shutter. You know, without any efforts .... everything just aligned themselves up. Well, it is what strikes you more in life that you do most right?. Thank you guys for all the support. I am still learning and trying constantly reivent this thing called life. :)

Finally the big day for Matt and Crystal has arrived. The festivity started at the Santa Cruz Winery, and where the wine started flowing early and plentiful. Then we headed back to Scott Valley for the reception. Here are the pictures from their lovely wedding.





A flower girl called Sunshine. How cool is that? She is so vibrant and always generous with her smiles. What a beautiful character.
